I teach 45 hours to three groups of around 30 students about managing a private art collection. Through an introduction to different types of collections, the interactions between collectors and other art world figures, and how these relationships shape collecting approaches, the course offers practical insights into the tasks and tools of a collection manager. This includes guidance on acquisitions, database and storage management, and the curation and production of exhibitions, providing a comprehensive view of the challenges and opportunities in developing private collections.
I started in 2024 and 2025 will be my second year of teaching.
